I am not a sociologist or a politician, just a curious person who enjoys asking challenging questions. This site is about asking thought provoking questions and soliciting answers through reader’s comments and guest contributions.
One of the toughest things in life is separating emotion from the rational decision making process. From choosing what kind of car to drive to picking your candidate for political office, so much of our lives are driven by emotion. When I was younger I thought everything should be black and white, right and wrong, and boy was I ever wrong. I forgot about emotion and how much of a role it plays in our lives.
In looking at politics it would be wonderful to be able to say there is one correct position/party/idea and have everyone agree. Unfortunately this is a utopian dream which is not based in reality. This site is an attempt to explore the sociological influences in politics and show how emotions shape our experience.
